JOB SUMMARY

LATCH is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with deep Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) expertise to support the design, development, and sustainment of forms and related solutions. This position plays a critical role in researching, designing, and delivering innovative AEM-based forms and workflow solutions, ensuring compliance with Section 508 standards, and integrating with USCIS and DHS systems. The engineer will contribute to the enhancement of public use forms, internal forms, technical documentation, reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives, providing secure, scalable, and efficient solutions in a federal environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Job responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research, design, and develop forms using Adobe AEM, including public and internal use forms.
  • Provide technology support for forms development, workflow automation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Research and troubleshoot AEM issues, applying user-centric design techniques and product management methods.
  • Provide expertise and support towards obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) for on-premises and developmental efforts.
  • Implement best practice methods for automated testing, code reviews, and secure DevSecOps delivery.
  • Build, train, test, and deploy modular, reproducible, scalable models; conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions.
  • Support backend systems and servers for deployed AEM solutions in on-premises environments.
  • Explore and implement innovative tools and industry best practices for forms management, quality assurance, change management, database development, and reporting.
  • Provide integration solutions with existing and new enterprise systems, including identity federation and case management tools.
  • Assist in developing workflows, form wizards, mobile apps, and enhanced forms, incorporating digital signatures and metadata.
  • Write and manage Agile artifacts such as epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; participate in retrospectives, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal security, accessibility, and quality standards.
rEQUIRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in systems engineering, AEM development, or equivalent technical roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related technical field (relevant work experience may substitute).
  • Expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) forms, workflows, and integration.
  • Experience developing and validating Section 508 compliance deliverables (test plans, conformance reports, and accessibility documentation).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and secure development lifecycles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex AEM and systems integration issues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and program stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Experience with DataBricks, Tableau, and emerging forms development or reporting technologies.
  • Familiarity with large-scale federal programs and environments.
  • Knowledge of case management systems and identity federation/ICAM solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related field; relevant work experience may substitute.
