JOB SUMMARY
LATCH is seeking a Senior AEM Forms Developer to provide leadership in the research, design, and development of advanced forms solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role involves creating and modernizing dynamic, accessible forms and workflows, ensuring Section 508 compliance, and integrating solutions with enterprise systems. The developer will also act in a business analyst capacity, gathering requirements, aligning stakeholders, and delivering secure, innovative solutions to support large-scale federal programs.
rESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Job responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
AEM Forms Development
- Research, design, and develop forms using Adobe AEM and related platforms.
- Create and revise form packages, ensuring fillable fields, dynamic capabilities, data validation, tabbing sequences, and accessibility features.
- Implement AEM initiatives, including environment creation, upgrades, maintenance, and publishing adaptive or responsive forms.
- Develop solutions that integrate with enterprise systems, including identity management and case management tools.
- Perform accessibility checks and prepare Reader Extended forms ready for customer use.
- Provide forms quality assurance and maintenance in AEM Designer and Adobe InDesign.
- Troubleshoot form functionality issues and provide ongoing support for adaptive and PDF forms.
- Operate and maintain digitization efforts, publishing forms with multi-browser compatibility.
Business Analysis & Innovation
- Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of requirements and project goals.
- Research and troubleshoot AEM issues, applying user-centric design methods and product management practices.
- Support research and implementation of new technologies and open-source tools for innovative solutions.
- Apply industry best practices for forms management, QA, process management, change management, database development, and reporting.
- Develop solutions integrating existing and new databases and reporting tools, including platforms such as DataBricks and Tableau.
- Provide management, design, and quality assurance support for future technology enhancements.
- Use Agile methodologies to write and manage epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and participate in sprint activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
- 20 years of experience in forms development, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute).
- Proven expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) forms development.
- Strong background in Section 508 compliance, including development of test plans, conformance reports, and accessibility documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver solutions in secure, regulated environments.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
- Experience with emerging tools such as DataBricks, Tableau, and other reporting/analytics platforms.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience working on geographically dispersed teams.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, MIS, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience may substitute.
