JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist proficient in creating and managing complex data architectures, developing business rules, and working with different data sources. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining a comprehensive data architecture; managing data transformations and integrations; and creating, updating, deleting data. The selected candidate will collaborate with other team members on data integrations and projects, and requires strong communication skills to effectively explain complex data architectures and transformations to stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Data Architecture and Design: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture using tools such as Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure Synapse. Create and manage tables, columns, relationships, keys, and properties while considering impacts to quality attributes such as security, performance, and resiliency.
  • Data Transformation and Integration: Manage the transformation and integration of data from multiple sources. Leverage Power Automate, HTTP Connector (APIs), and Azure integrations for the flow of data across systems. Collaborate with other team members on integrations from Azure.
  • Data Management: Create, update, and delete data and tables from multiple sources. Manage choices, connections, and gateways within Dataverse. Set and manage data refresh schedules.
  • Business Rule Management: Add, modify, and delete Business Rules. Utilize tools such as Open Policy Agent (OPA) and its Query Language Rego for policy enforcement across the data architecture.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Leverage Power BI Cloud/Desktop and Excel for data analysis and visualization. Create and manage Pivot Tables and ensure data validation. Use tools like Postman for API development and testing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years as a Data Scientist
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure Synapse, Power BI, Power Automate, OPA, SQL, Microsoft Graph, and JSON. Knowledge of Excel, Spreadsheet Compare, and Postman is also required.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in data architecture, management, and analysis. Experience in managing data transformations and integrations across multiple sources is essential.
  • Advanced Data Skills: Proficiency in creating and managing complex data architectures, developing business rules, and working with different data sources. Experience with AI Builder, Chatbots, and Solutions is a plus.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members on data integration and projects. Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex data architectures and transformations to stakeholders.
