JOB summary
Lalaith Astor Technical Consulting House (LATCH) is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support DISA OSS sustainment for key OSS components across production and lab environments. OSS services provide network or computing services (e.g., AAA, DNS, NTP) to other devices/servers. The Systems Administrator will keep OSS systems up, running, patched (IAVAs & DTO), accredited, configured, STIGed, and troubleshot across lab and production.
responsibilities and duties
Job responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain, run, patch (including IAVAs & DTO), accredit, configure, STIG, and troubleshoot OSS services, including: AAA LDAP, AAA SecurID, AAA TACACS, Syslog Server, DNS Bind, SAN/NAS/Brocade Switches, NTP, and RDP (Windows Terminal Server).
- Provide configuration, troubleshooting, and testing support for transitions to IPv6/dual-stack and SNMPv3 as required.
- Configure OSS Network Services to integrate with new customer devices; troubleshoot integration issues.
- Lab support: graceful power-down/up around outages; keep patches/software current; support C&A by providing STIG/security scan info; perform HW/SW updates; configure services; break-fix; coordinate with Government lab manager; test new device integrations.
- Production support: troubleshoot OSS issues with associated tickets; coordinate Tier II/Tier III on patching cadence; lab-test HW/SW/patches before production; create design docs (for complex changes); update system architecture docs; create deployment/implementation plans with configuration/STIG/patch/software/hardware steps and reversion instructions; support C&A by supplying STIG/scan artifacts; submit Request for Change forms prior to release.
Required Experience, qualifications, and skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, including LDAP, SecurID, TACACS, Syslog Server, DNS Bind, SAN/NAS/Brocade, NTP, and RDP.

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (e.g., Security+).
- Experience with lab-to-production promotion processes and RFC/change control in DoD environments.
- Scripting/automation for compliance reporting and configuration validation.
- Familiarity with architecture documentation and deployment planning/rollback strategies.
